- Horror Guild Announces Finalists - includes Peter Straub, Ellen Datlow and Ramsey Campbell ... if you are a Horror fan and were wondering what to take on Holiday to read I would have thought this little list would be a good place to choose from
- Campbell award winners Announced - Kathleen Anne Goonan's In War Times won, while Michale Chabon came in second ... to our surprise
- Theodore Sturgeon Award is a tie - between Elizabeth Bear and David R. Moles - yet another good source for holiday reading

- 2 Asteroids fly past Earth - A large asteroid passive us right now looks like it is actually 2 bodies orbiting each other ... lucky miss huh?
- Hellboy II tops box office - while Hancock drops and Eddie Murphy's film hardly gets a look in
